Asked to describe the Elms in one word, I'd immediately say "accommodating". Given the chance to add another, I would include "majestic". My friends and I booked our stay without fully comprehending the beauty the Elms fosters. Even the posted pictures don't do the camp site justice. There is nothing more refreshing than waking in the morning, walking onto the porch, and eating breakfast while taking in the beauty of the Hudson River. Rolling mountains stretch along its length serving as the backdrop to the pockmarked houses that populate the area.
Chandler, owner of the Elms, was perhaps the most personable, genuine people I've come across in years. Each morning he'd walk the length of the campground, politely inquiring as to whether or not we had had a good night the evening prior, and see if there was anything he himself could do to make our stay better.
My friends and I kayaked for hours on the Hudson, sometimes allowing our selves to simply drift the length of the river. I hadn't been that genuinely relaxed in years. Thank you Chandler, we will be back!!!

I just want to tell you how much fun we had staying at the Elms. My whole family had such a good time. The cabin was great(the kitchen being the best part), the boats were a huge hit, and the beach was great for the kids. We couldn't have been happier with staying here. We can't wait to come back. I've included a couple of pictures of our stay. Have a wonderful day and hope to be back soon.
